Michelle Holding sings traditional and contemporary British and American songs, playing guitar, banjo and concertina. Blessed with a striking and distinctive voice, she performs with passion and sensitivity. Confesses publicly to being a Morris dancer and also calls dances for ceilidhs, something which she is gaining quite a following for, through her welcoming, gender free calling style. Michelle is starting to wade into the murky waters of classic English fingerstyle banjo.
Her accompanist Bonz, a talented multi-instrumentalist, plays dobro, banjo and harmonica, and provides harmony vocals when with Michelle. Has been performing in folk clubs, at festivals and concerts since before Michelle was born.
Rob Dunford of North West Folk says - “Michelle’s star is in ascendance”
